I'm here attending the Young Survival Coalition Summit March 8-10 in Austin, TX.
The YSC National Summit is a three-day conference that features inspirational speakers, workshops addressing the unique issues that young women with breast cancer face, and special wellness activities.
I remember a year ago I was sick on the couch recovering from my last round of chemo and saw many of my breast friends sharing their experience at this summit on Instagram. It filled me with hope knowing that a space like this existed for me. I was moved by the number of young women who attended and how a lot of the gals connected so effortlessly.
The money I raise will provide me with conference travel reimbursements for my transportation and hotel expenses. I've set a goal of $200, which means $150 will be available for reimbursement to me—more if I exceed my goal. Additionally, YSC uses these funds to help keep registration fees low, and enabling YSC to provide the best speakers and special events.
Attending this conference gives me the opportunity to connect with a community of other young survivors and co-survivors from across the country. It will also provide me with the most up-to-date, evidence-based information and tools about breast cancer. With your support, YSC can continue its crucial programming for young women affected by breast cancer and I can continue to receive the support that I need.
Any amount you can give will help me get to the Summit next March!
If you're here from Instagram, let me know if you have a song request for my #marvelousmorningmoves post dedicated to you!
Thank you, in advance, for your support. It means so much to me.
